Solas Economics, a boutique competition and regulatory economics consultancy co-founded by Hamish Forsyth and Eiki Ragnarsson, officially launched this week.
Hamish brings over 20 years’ experience in competition economics, having led complex merger reviews and market studies, and given evidence at CCPC oral hearings. Eiki is a competition economist and econometrician with 15 years’ experience and the author of Eikonomics, a book on economics in plain language.
Based in Dublin, Solas Economics serves clients in Ireland, Iceland and across Europe. The firm is built on a simple idea: great results and great client relationships shouldn’t come at the cost of enjoying the work. Every engagement is led hands-on by senior economists, with the goal of delivering clarity through rigorous economic insights.
True to form, the pair marked the milestone in distinctly unconventional fashion, raising a toast of peach schnapps while hiking in the Alps above the shores of Lake Constance.
Solas Economics is now open for business.
